Evaluate cash generation, liquidity visibility, forecast quality, working-capital pressure, and ability to withstand adverse conditions.

How to Use This Tool

Purpose: Evaluate cash generation, liquidity visibility, forecast quality, working-capital pressure, and ability to withstand adverse conditions.

  1. Complete the objective financial/process evidence first using the best available current data.
  2. Rate all 36 management statements from 1–5 based on current operating reality—not intended practice.
  3. Select Calculate Assessment. FinOS combines management ratings with objective evidence to create the overall condition.
  4. Review Evidence-Based Warnings, low dimensions, and any mismatch between management perception and objective indicators.
  5. Record root causes and corrective actions, assign owners and dates, and save/export the assessment for follow-up.
  6. Reassess after material improvements and as part of recurring FinOS governance.

Professional review: This is a management diagnostic, not accounting, tax, legal, audit, banking, investment, insurance, valuation, or other professional advice. Validate material findings with qualified professionals where appropriate.

About the Cash Flow Health Diagnostic

This diagnostic scores the health of a company's cash flow across several dimensions rather than relying on a single ratio. It turns current figures into a structured view of strengths and weak points.

How it works

You enter current, reliable financial figures across areas such as liquidity, collections, margins, and obligations. Blank fields are treated as unavailable evidence rather than automatically as weakness, so the score reflects what is actually known. The diagnostic combines the inputs into a health view that highlights where attention is most needed. Results depend entirely on the accuracy of the figures you enter.

Who it is for

Finance leaders and owners who want a repeatable way to assess cash flow health, track it over time, and see which areas to strengthen.
